Most of us jump into the stock market with dreams of becoming wealthy, yet it is never easy to find a practical answer to the question, "When will I actually reach my financial goals?" amidst the flood of complex indicators and flashy charts. 1M Quest aims to embark on a journey of transforming these vague hopes into tangible data. Beyond simply listing historical returns, this project will visualize where you stand today and the specific efforts required to reach the milestone of one million dollars, turning abstract investment fantasies into a realistic roadmap.
Not every project begins with a massive cloud environment or vast big data infrastructure; therefore, I plan to design an efficient system within the modest constraints of a 2GB server. I intend to embrace this limitation as an opportunity to focus on the essentials, prioritizing the development of logic that delivers the most intuitive insights rather than a cluttered array of unnecessary data. The process of deriving results efficiently through lightweight algorithms mirrors real-world investing, where the efficiency of management is often more crucial than the size of capital. Thus, I will continue this meaningful experiment from both a technical and domain-specific perspective.
While financial data often feels rigid and intimidating, 1M Quest will rephrase it as a playful quest to be completed. By implementing witty features, such as humorous "what if" scenarios (the so-called 'Regret Machine') or calculating how many servings of fried chicken one must skip to reach a goal. I want to add a sense of fun to the often tedious journey of asset management. Through this project, I will build a platform where visitors can experience the process of designing their economic future not as a painful endurance test, but as an exciting, data-driven strategy game.
